This page provides critical information, technical guidance, and resources for any staff members or administrators who support individual faculty members, departments, or schools through the annual faculty evaluation process.
Important Note: If you are faculty member and you do not currently have a delegate but would like to assign one, please go to the GU360 page and fill out the Faculty Delegate Request Form, and we will assign accordingly. Note, departments can bulk assign delegates, but the request form will need the approval of the School’s Dean.
Access GUFaculty360
If you are designated delegate for any faculty members, you can access and update their GUFaculty360 Profile for them, which will help them prepare for generating the FAR Annual Report.
For awareness, and to share with any faculty you support, we also recommend that any support staff and administrators review the information available on the webpage for Individual Faculty Members including capabilities and constraints of the system, guidance on where to place certain professional activities, and FAQs.
Role of Support Staff in FAR
Administrative and support staff are vital partners in ensuring data accuracy across the university. However, because FAR is a secure evaluation system, there are specific functional boundaries regarding what actions can be taken by a delegate:
Supporting Individual Faculty Members
What you CAN do: You can log into a faculty member’s profile as a delegate to input raw data, add publications, list grants, and edit or format the Microsoft Word report after it has been generated.
What you CANNOT do: Security and audit controls prevent delegates from generating the final report. The individual faculty member must personally log into the system, review their integrated data steps, and execute the “Generate Faculty Activity Report” command.
Delegate Requirement: At this time, only staff or administrators with an active GU NetID can be assigned as profile delegates.
Supporting Departments, Units, or Schools
If you are managing the administrative review process at a macro level, please keep the following framework in mind:
The Scope of FAR: The initiative only impacts the faculty self-evaluation portion of the annual process.
No Change to Workflows: FAR does not change how final reviews are routed, your department’s specific merit criteria, or how leaders submit final merit scores to senior administration.
How to Prepare Individual Faculty Profiles
Before you can assist an individual faculty member, they must formally designate you as their delegate within the system. Please provide them with the following instructions if you are not yet linked:
🔐 Faculty Instructions to Delegate Access: Faculty must navigate to GU360.georgetown.edu, access the Faculty Delegate Request Form, and input your NetID. Once approved by the faculty member (and their Dean’s office, where required), delegate access will be granted.
Once you have been designated as a delegate, you can proactively assist faculty in preparing for the review cycle:
Verify Baseline Systems Data: Log into the faculty profile to verify that core administrative records are accurate. Ensure that their Name, Academic Rank, Department/Unit, Teaching Schedules, and Grant Awards are correct. If any automated records are incorrect, please contact your campus-specific contact listed below.
Optimize the Public GU360 Profile: Update their public profile by uploading a professional headshot, adding a biography, and completing as many distinct portfolio blocks as possible (e.g., Teaching, Research, Publications, Honors/Awards, and Service). Use the following direct tools to expedite this process:
Contacting gu360help@georgetown.edu to schedule an individual training or ask any questions
Audit Data Privacy Settings: Confirm with the faculty member exactly which information they would like accessible to the Public, which fields should be restricted to Institution Only, and which records should remain strictly Private (for internal evaluation use only).
Post-Generation Document Assistance
Once the faculty member manually runs and downloads their final report as an MS Word document, they may ask you to make formatting adjustments or add late-breaking items.
Best Practice: If you manually type additions into their Word document, please take a moment to add those same items digitally into their GU360 profile. This ensures the records auto-populate correctly in all future years.
What Departments and Units Will Receive
Once faculty members generate their finalized self-evaluations, they will save them as an MS Word file or a PDF and submit them to your department office using your current standard submission pipeline (e.g., via email, Box folder, or physical copy) along with your standard attachments.
The only procedural adjustment is the clean, standardized formatting of the report you will receive. Review the finalized campus templates below to familiarize your office with the upcoming layouts:
As an administrator, you are often the first line of contact for faculty members. To help your department chairs/unit heads/school leadership seamlessly communicate this rollout to the faculty body, you can access and share the following copy-and-paste Leadership Communication Packages:

While current system operations focus strictly on creating streamlined faculty self-evaluations, capturing this data centrally opens massive, automated advantages for administrative staff in future project phases:
Accreditation Harvesting: The ability to pull department-wide, school-wide, or college-wide metrics on scholarship counts, teaching histories, and service milestones with a single click, completely removing the need for ad-hoc faculty data collections.
End-to-End Evaluation Storage: Incorporating the entire chair/dean feedback loop directly into the digital dashboard, making past review files easy to securely store and reference year-over-year.
Automated Promotion Dossiers: Expanding input metrics to instantly package comprehensive promotional dossiers for advancement boards, saving weeks of manual assembly time.
